Writing Letters of support to ice on behalf of those in detention

VIDA: Volunteers for Immigrants in Detention - Albuquerque (formerly Civic ABQ)

On occasion, your correspondent may ask you for a letter of support advocating for their release. While the efficacy of such letters is debatable and writing them is not the focus of our program, individual volunteers may decide to write a letter of support to the person in detention's deportation officer.
